Since 1927, when John Pedroncelli, Sr. purchased the vineyard and a small winery in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley, two elements remain unchanged: the exceptional place the Pedroncelli family farms vineyards, and the family's dedication to making fine wines.

During the early years grapes were sold to home winemakers during prohibition in order to keep the vineyards going. Eventually this was turned into a small base during the 1930’s and 1940’s. John’s sons followed him into the business in 1948 and 1955 becoming a winemaker and sales director respectively. The winery was eventually purchased by son Jim.

By the 1960’s the winery had expanded and diversified. As it continued to grow the third generation joined the team in the 1990’s helping with the replanting of the vineyards.

Now in the 21st century Pendroncelli has refined its focus to restaurants, casual dining/meet-up wine bars and independent wine shops across the nation. Ownership has transferred to the third generation and proudly, Pendroncelli is now a 70% woman owned company with a woman winemaker!

Nine decades strong, we are still family owned and operated. It all adds up to tradition, heritage and a family of wines you can enjoy with confidence.
